Reverse the enrolment cut to Box Hill High School

With a growing school-aged population in the Whitehorse area, Box Hill High School needs extra classrooms and facilities to meet demand.

Instead, the Andrews government has ordered the school to cut its enrolment numbers from around 1,350 this year to 1,200 in 2018. The school has also been ordered to slash its outstanding gifted student program.

This makes no sense, and undermines any government claim to be making Victoria “the education state”.

These cuts should be reversed, and Box Hill High School should be given the resources it needs so it can continue to provide great educational services in our community.
